Fremont Residence
Renovations & Additions

case study

This three story Lincoln Park home was restored to the original vintage style after having undergone a modern style renovation in the ‘80s. A new grand staircase was designed that captured the architectural period of the house. The standing and running trim and the raised wood panels around the window sills had to be recreated. A family room was custom designed using knotty pine paneling with traditional details; casings, baseboard, crown molding all in solid natural pine. This included a large built-in media center with storage, bookcase and wet bar.

The back entrance was redesigned to provide a mud room off to the side; with a pair of French doors that create a spectacular view of the newly designed back yard and brings natural light into the kitchen/breakfast room. The large chefs kitchen has a closed pantry and a butler’s pantry for catered dining parties.

There are three en-suite bedrooms and baths designed with mosaic marble tile in traditional patterns and the vanities were designed with traditional raised panels on the doors, drawers and mirror fronts.
